Brazilian Parlour

Of all the rosewoods used in guitar making, Brazilian rosewood has traditionally been the wood of choice. The characteristic tone and the responsive ‘aliveness’ of this guitar sustains its ring for a long time. This is a stunning guitar, where high quality Brazilian rosewood has been combined with an Adirondack top to create a resonance that is crisp, light, and glassy yet holds a sweet overture of deep, clear sound. The neck, connecting at the 12th fret, and carved from curly Honduran mahogany, has a dark Gaboon ebony fretboard with Brazilian rosewood in its binding. The simple rosette and bridge continue the rosewood theme. This precious instrument offers the musician or collector an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the fruitful result of my years of lutherie. Hand crafted in every way, this charismatic instrument presents with a dynamic range and highly coloured sounds in an unpretentious, yet complex body.

Details:

All the bindings are Brazilian rosewood, holly and dyed European pear. The head plates are rosewood and holly. Sitka bracing, Spanish cedar kerfing, bone nut and saddle and classical Gotoh tuning heads. The piece is finished, polished and smoothed with traditional organic oils. 12 Frets to body, Abalone
